CHOR014 - Bad Idea! New EP from scuzzy lofi pop duo

Posted on November 26th, 2017

We're really excited to be releasing the new EP from Bad Idea - out on white cassette with pink splatter on December 8th via ourselves and Honeypot Records!

Bad Idea are a scuzzy lofi pop two piece band from Leeds. A rowdy pair both musically and in general, Bad Idea is made up of ex-friends and current partners Sarah Sefton and Daniel Johnson. Formed one drunken night dancing to Madonna's 'Like A Prayer', the name of the band comes from the ill-advised notion of starting up a creative project with someone you're romantically involved with. Gigging extensively in their first year together, Bad Idea have quickly made a modest but not insignificant impression on the DIY scene with unabashedly poppy choruses and gooey sentiments, seen in their double A side Time Waster/Boy Racer. This new release, You're So Cool, showcases and develops their style; you can expect catchy lyrics, lush chords, and just a hint of darkness underneath a record that is scuzzy and romantic in equal measure.
